Professional education and work offers in our regional Ophthalmological Group practice
Our Group practice offers training positions for "Medizinische Fachangestellte", a profession supporting nearly all aspects of the internal work flow of the office in caring for our patients.
On august 1rst 2008 the new trainees of the „Augenärzte Gemeinschaftspraxis Ahaus-Gronau-Lingen” have begun their activity: Maike Reinders, Nona Laufer and Karina Brüning, the three trainees, will follow an apprenticeship within the three following years to finish as an employee in medical services in the ophthalmologist joint practice.
While Maike Reinders and Karina Brüning will work in Ahaus, Nona Laufer will mainly follow her trainee in our practice Eper Str. 9 in Gronau lead by Dr. Aris Farlopulos.
The first working day started with a visit of the joint practice and a meeting to get to know each other in friendly atmosphere. During the three further trainee years, the three young women will follow a varied trainee in the sector ophthalmology especially in care of patients concerning all questions about operational structuring, management, documentation and hygiene.
We focus on a good trainee of our staff and that is the reason why we are investigating in an extensive trainee with the goal to employ our trainees after their apprenticeship.
What we have learned in 30 years of our joint practice is that not only our work has lead to success – our success also comes from our competent and loyal staff!
Starting in summer 2009, we like to take applications for 2010.
Further, we offer training in general ophthalmology for young doctors. We are able to present the whole range of clinical ophthalmology. The training includes rotations to our associated hospitals, the Eye Hospital Ahaus and the Sankt Marien-Krankenhaus in Ahaus. You can expect a challenging and interesting program. We can be helpful in the search for adequate accommodation. In 2009, we are again offering new positions to young doctors.

Beside our ophthalmologists, our team consists of about 75 people including 9 "Medizinische Fachangestellte" in training and 4 doctors in training. Yearly social activities include a one day office trip and our famous Christmas party with an overview of the past activities. To support our young mothers and to allow a smooth return to the job, we opened our own day care center in 2007.
